How to Grow on Instagram 2020
Regarding the topic of growing an instagram page or pages legitimately for a niche or your own personal brand. This will be very useful for you.
This article will give you some recent updates and changes in the Instagram algorithm and also some things that you should and shouldn’t do going into 2020. Growing on Instagram in 2020. I want to go ahead and touch on a few key topics here. Such as follow for follow, story view bots, recent engagement drops, and new hashtag strategy. FOLLOW FOR FOLLOW
So let’s just dive right into the first one. Instagram has been really strict on their guidelines lately which brings the question. Does follow for follow strategy still work? I actually feel that it still is viable especially you are just starting from zero followers. Complete from scratch. There’s really nothing better that you can do to get your first couple hundred couple thousand followers. You can try paying for ads but that’s not really going to convert well if you have absolutely zero followers. Some people recommend that you actually go out and start liking people’s photos. The thing with that is that you’re still taking a risk of getting action blocks (In picture below).
Since you can get action block for liking too many comments and you’re not getting much reward for the risk you’re taking since most people whose photos you like won’t actually follow you back. Now you can still definitely get a temporary action block for following too many people too quickly but the risk to reward ratio there is a lot better since when you follow people they’re much more likely to pull you back over if you just like one of their posts. If you just like someone’s posts. It is more likely that they are not going to follow you back. If you are starting a brand new page from complete scratch. I don’t see a better option than just getting your first couple hundred or thousands followers by doing the follow for follow strategy.
You just have to be more intentional with the type of people you follow. Also you can’t follow people as quickly and you can’t use any automation services that kind of automate the following for you. Instagram is very strict with their guidelines. You really don’t want to be caught suing any forms of automation services. NOT WORTH IT.
Story View Bots
The Next topic is about the Infamous Story View Bots. Please do not try it and risk your account to be restricted. It’s basically a paid service that you give them your account username and password. Then use a bot that actually view millions of stories per day from your account. You might have encounter some complete stranger view one of your Instagram story. Then you click on their account and found out is a brand. If you like their content, you will just follow them. That’s the whole end method. However, if you are using a bot to view 5 million stories per day and you get 0.005 percent of those people who viewed your stories will follow you. Then that would be 5 million stories for a 25,000 new followers every single day. This seems like a great idea! BUT Instagram doesn’t even like you using an app to track the people to unfollow you. It is best that you don’t use a bot to spam 5 million people per day. In the end you will get a message from Instagram that your account has been compromised (Picture below)
Getting this notification is never a good sign to Instagram. Instagram can definitely punish people for using this type of thing by limiting the reach and probably shadow banning their account. So learn from the mistakes that people have made. Don’t use Bots, third party apps, or any automation services whatsoever.
Engagement Drops
Recently, a lot of people are experiencing some engagement drops. This means that they are not getting as many followers as many likes on their posts. In my personal experience after running Instagram theme pages for years. I’ve noticed is that Instagram engagement kind of comes in waves. Ups and downs. Take advantage of that and post high quality content consistently. When you have the most exposure that day. Post even better engaging posts. Keep grinding the Instagram algorithm and will slowly build back to what you have. It is normal to have drops. In the next topic I will express what you can do to keep the engagement exposure afloat.
Hashtag Secret TIPS
Most common practice is to have a like of hashtags in your Notes apps and put them in the comment right after you upload some new content. Just as we learned. Instagram really isn’t the biggest fan of you using different strategies and growth hacking tactics to go ahead and gain an edge. Which is why when you have a list of hashtags in a comment like a paragraph of hashtags. Instagram doesn’t like that. That is why I recommend you writing a paragraph and implement your hashtags in them. For example, One of my biggest passion is #Fitness. I am really trying to get #instafit and #getfit.
